Montenoy liegt etwa 14 Kilometer nordnordöstlich von Nancy. Umgeben wird Montenoy von den Nachbargemeinden Bratte im Nordwesten und Norden, Villers-lès-Moivrons im Norden und Nordosten, Leyr im Osten, Bouxières-aux-Chênes im Südosten und Süden sowie Faulx im Westen.
